Trauma. Anxiety. Disconnection.

Simply existing in this world, we encounter much pain and hardship. Each day can hold the potential to trigger a trauma response that will affect us deeply. Many of us also carry experiences from the past that impact us. In our daily lives, we can feel disconnected and burdened by anxiety. These burdens eclipse our best-selves, they restrict us from being present in the moment, and keep us distant from those most important to us.

Traversing this terrain can be overwhelming. Still, we all carry the potential to heal from the past and emotionally thrive.

Healing happens.

β€œPain is important: how we evade it, how we succumb to it, how we deal with it, how we transcend it. Pain will always either change or stop. Always. The confidence that it will change is what makes bearing it possible. So pain is fluid. It is only when you conceive of it as something static that it is unbearable.”
-Audre Lorde

I draw on trauma-informed, attachment-focused, and neuroscience-supported approaches to therapy, including AEDP and EMDR.
